Florida Technology Indicators for Adult & Community Education Programs

A set of technology indicators were developed through ACENET@IDEAL for 1998-1999 Adult Education Section 353 grant period. The indicators include suggested standards with information as to how the standards can be measured. Performance examples are included along with a space for evaluation of the various standards.

The set of technology indicators are currently under review. Please provide us input as to the appropriateness of the measures and the performance examples for your discipline, agency or organization through the form provided after the indicators.

Standards of Excellence

This site is currently being updated with specific material related to quality indicators, the Sunshine State Standards, and other Florida -mandated requirements for adult and vocational education and workfroce development. In the near future, pertinent information will be made available related to changes in GED and other adult-related items.

Statistical Information Pertinent to Florida

A clickable Florida map is being prepared with pertinent county-by-county data analysis and synthetic literacy estimates related to the following areas:

  • Percentage of population above 16 in various educational levels
  • English proficiency levels county-by-county
  • Labor Force status
  • Occupations
  • Race and Ethnicity
  • Work-Related Information.

    In addition information will be made available in the form of PowerPoint presentations of trends in workforce readiness and other trend-related information as items come available. All efforts will be directed at providing information needed for strategic planning, grant-writing and marketing for the various agencies and organizations involved in adult, vocational education and workforce development.
